My Cat, A Bee & Me!

The weather has finally been warming up here in Wisconsin, so the other day I gathered some of my pieces to clean outside with my new Dremel stylus. It was wonderful to be outdoors in the fresh air and sunshine. However, after taking a break from my cleaning, I came back to find a bee or a hornet visiting my pieces. Yikes! I never got stung by a bee, so I did not want to start. My kitty cat wanted to chase after it, which made me all the more nervous and I carefully grabbed my kitty and put him inside. When I took this picture, I did not even notice my cat made it into the corner of the shot.
Can you see my buzzing visitor sitting by the two Dremel wrenches? He put a little delay in my cleaning plans.

My Bee Pen buzzed into a Treasury!

Sue, a seller from Etsy sent me a "convo" to let me know that she included my Bee Artful Pen in her adorable Ladybug and Bee themed treasury. Hurray! Sue's store is called, "Growing Like a Weed." Stop by her store to see all of the cute hand-painted children's items she creates. One of her items is shown in her treasury. It's the sweet, hand-painted ladybug step stool. The bug step stool shown below, is one of my favorites from Sue's shop.

Majorly Bummer-ish!!!

Okay, I am extremely bummed out and disappointed that Danny did not make it through. He deserves to be in the finale and I was expecting him to be. Regardless, he has a bright and successful future ahead of him. He made this season of Idol worth watching and I will miss seeing him perform on TV. It was refreshing to see someone like him in the competition. He was my favorite from his first audition of "I Heard it Through the Grapevine." He is still my American Idol no matter if he did not make it to the finale. Danny is an inspiration to all of his fans and is a positive role model with loads of heart and soul. He is a person of great character. Thanks, Danny for being our "hero"!

When I was at the Danny Gokey Day concert last week, the head person of Summerfest invited Danny to be a headliner at Summerfest 2010. I will definitely be in line to get to that concert. Danny's plans, dreams and hopes to be a positive influence in the world of music are only beginning. I wish him all the best and will show my support and appreciation for his vision to inspire and help others.

Tonight after the disappointing Idol results, I had to do something to distract myself from being majorly bummed out. Thus, I continued to work on my Bee Pens and applied a couple coats of Gesso to them. Tomorrow is going to be exciting since I'll be able to start painting them. Hurray!
